Huawei P30 Series Officially Launched In The UAE
At the Burj Park in Dubai, Huawei has officially unwrapped their latest P30 flagship smartphone series in the UAE, consisting of three new devices namely the high-end Huawei P30 and Huawei P30 Pro, along with the Huawei P30 Lite. Huawei has focused to bring in the best in smartphone camera and design innovations along with better performance than the competition.
The Huawei P30 is the base model of the three smartphones that was announced. The device features a 6.1-inch OLED display and comes with an aspect ratio of 19:5:9, allowing users to receive more screen estate and fewer bezels. Huawei has implemented a water-drop like a notch that takes lesser bezel area for the front camera and sensors as compared to the latest competition. The smartphone is 7.6mm thick and weighs 165g. As for protection, the Huawei P30 is certified with IP53 for dust and splash resistance. There is also a headphone jack for those who don’t prefer going wireless with headphones.
On the optics front, the P30 comes with a triple-lens Leica shooter. One of them features a 40MP image sensor with an aperture of F1.7 wide-angle lens, while the rest of the sensors come with a 16MP ultra-wide sensor with an aperture of F2.2 and the third shooter with an 8MP telephoto lens with an aperture of F2.4. The camera is capable of recording up to 4K video resolutions at 30fps. The Huawei P30 comes with a large 3650 mAh battery.
The Huawei P30 Pro is the advanced version of the trio of smartphones announced today featuring a larger 6.47-inch OLED display. Both the Huawei P30 and the P30 Pro feature the same screen resolution at 1080 x 2340. Along with its aluminum frame, the P30 Pro is certified with IP68 dust and water resistance. The P30 Pro features a quad-lens configuration and comes with a 40MP shooter with F1.6 aperture Leica lens for outstanding low-light performance, a 20MP ultrawide sensor with an aperture of F2.2, an 8MP telephoto shooter with 5x optical zoom, and lastly, a TOF 3D camera.
Huawei had demonstrated examples of the P30 Pro samples by comparing to the competition and showing that the sensors perform well at low-light situations. Huawei also demonstrated the smartphone’s capability to zoom up to the moon. Both the Huawei P30 and the P30 Pro feature the same Kirin 980 octa-core processor with 8GB RAM and with different internal storage options and runs on the latest Android 9.0 OS and with the EMUI 9.1. Both the smartphones feature an under-display fingerprint scanner.
Last but not least, the Huawei P30 Lite is the cheaper alternative among the three devices that are powered by the Kirin 710 processor. The display features an IPS panel with a screen size of 6.15-inch and comes with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2312. The device comes in a triple-lens configuration with a 24MP wide-angle shooter, an 8MP ultrawide sensor and a 2MP depth sensor.
All the three smartphones feature the same 32MP selfie snapper with an aperture of F2.0. While the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro feature the new Nano-Memory expandable storage, the P30 Lite still relies on the MicroSD card expansion. Both the P30 Lite and the P30 Pro doesn’t feature its own 3.5mm audio jack.
As for the pricing in the UAE, the Huawei P30 Pro costs AED 3399 for the 8GB RAM/ 256GB ROM configuration and AED 3999 for the 8GB RAM/512GB storage model. The Huawei P30 is rated at AED 2599 for the 8GB/ 128GB internal storage model. The Huawei P30 Lite costs only 1099 with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage.
