Overview Of The OPPO N3
It looks like the Chinese electronics manufacturer; Oppo is making some good buzz in the gadget market. Their latest offering- the Oppo N3 smartphone looks quite impressive to me. The Oppo N3 is a beautiful phone, packed with some high-end features. With this, here I share my views on this new device:
Design & Display: The Oppo N3 is more like an improved version of the Oppo N1. Though it has got a big, heavy and thick frame, the N3 is a sheer beauty to my eyes. I am quite impressed by the solid build quality and the premium feel of this phone. The Oppo N3 sports a 5.5-inch full-HD (1920x1080p) display, along with 3 capacitive touch buttons. It has an amazing display, ideal for both text reading and video watching purposes. Even on a sunny afternoon in Dubai, the screen display is easily visible and it doesn’t strain my eyes.
Chipset: The new N3 is powered by a 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, 2GB RAM, and Adreno 330 GPU. It comes with Oppo’s own Color OS 2.0, running Android 4.4 KitKat. The N3 performs really well. It is quite fast and responsive. I haven’t faced any such lag while using the device, but it does have some serious heating issues.
Camera: This device has an interesting camera. It houses a 16MP camera with a Schneider Kreuznach lens that has an aperture of F/2.0. The highlight of this phone is the motorized swivel camera module that rotates 206 degrees and can be used either as a regular, rear-positioned shooter or as a potent front-facing snapper. The camera does capture some great shots. I’m especially impressed with how well it captures colours at far ends of the spectrum. I had good fun experimenting with the motorized swivel camera since this feature is something very new to me.
Battery: The N3 is backed by a 3000mAh battery that lasted for 6 hours over heavy use. With moderate use, it may last for about a day.
Storage: It sports 32GB of inbuilt storage, which can be further expanded via microSD card (up to 128GB).
Verdict: The Oppo N3 is a stunning device, packed with some premium features. It was fun to use the motorized camera swivel feature, and I must say I am totally in awe of it. Go for the new Oppo N3, its worth your penny!
