Overview Of The LG G8

 

LG, the third largest phone manufacturer in the world and one of the world’s largest technology companies headquartered in Seoul, South Korea manufacture a wide range of smartphones and tablet devices. Its G series is a line of high-end Android devices. The G series usually release early on in the year and commonly retain hardware from the previous year as well as try to incorporate new smartphone trends with the current year. With LG G6 released early this year, its successor LG G7 is considering a January launch. Despite the speculations about G7, another flagship smartphone in the series called LG G8 has gained a position in rumor bin. Barely some thoughts about G8 is prevailing as specifications of G7 is not yet available. But several reports are gathered about G7, thus giving us a vague idea about G8. Few speculations are rumored on LG’s plan to switch to OLED screens in its flagships from late 2017. LG G8 is also expected to have OLED screens which likely to benefit from the blacker blacks and vivid images that OLED is known for. LG G7 will be powered by Snapdragon 845 whose announcement is still pending and a recent revelation that Qualcomm has already started work on the Snapdragon 855 gives us a clue that LG G8 will be powered by Snapdragon 855. The G8 is expected to have 6GB of RAM and 128 GB internal storage. In order to compete with smartphone giants like Apple, Samsung and even newcomer OnePlus, LG has to make some innovations in terms of biometric authentication. It is expected that with G8, LG will adopt the biometric technology like face ID recognition. We also like to see some improvements in its camera features. LG G8 is expected to have a dual rear camera, with a 13 MP wide-angle sensor and 8MP front-facing sensor. The rear cameras may include features like large dual pixels, an f/1.7 aperture, optical image stabilization, and phase detection autofocus. They are also expected to support multi-frame processing, which allows the rear camera to take multiple shots of the same image and put them all together.
