Overview of the BlackBerry Passport
I have always yearned for a Blackberry phone. And then, I finally got to purchase the Blackberry Passport- a premium smartphone that boasts of some amazing features and a unique built. Though I didn’t like the phone at the very first glance, I finally bought it after reading a lot of positive reviews. Here’s my review about the new Blackberry Passport phone:
DESIGN & DISPLAY:
The Blackberry Passport smartphone looks a bit weird, due to its unique built. It features a refined design, with a reinforced stainless steel frame and diamond pattern soft touch back. It packs a 4.5-inch IPS LCD screen, along with a resolution of 1440×1440 pixels. The display boasts of incredible viewing angles, along with bright colour contrast. The reason behind the square-type design is it’s 1:1 aspect ratio that lets users get an optimized reading experience.
CHIPSET:
The device is powered by 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor and 3GB of RAM. The Blackberry Passport is a fantastic phone, in terms of performance. It’s quick, responsive and smooth while multi-tasking. And so far, I haven’t faced any lag or delay in its performance. In one word, the Blackberry Passport is a solid performer.
CAMERA:
It packs a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. During camera test, I clicked pictures under different light conditions. The image quality was quite good under most conditions. Especially, pics captured under bright light were crisp and full of color.
BATTERY:
The phone packs a 3450 mAH non-removable battery that lasted for almost two days, with moderate use. The battery back-up is excellent. I am quite impressed with its long-running battery since I travel a lot and hardly get time to charge my phone.
STORAGE:
It comes with 32 GB internal storage and supports microSD card slots of up to 128GB for expansion.
VERDICT:
The Blackberry Passport may look very different, but it is a killer device. It’s fun, easy-to-use and lovely. If you’re looking for sharp display and high-end performance, look no further than the Blackberry Passport.
